CAD and BIM are just files here
DWG and DXF from AutoCAD, RVT from Revit, IFC for exchange, SKP, PLN and point clouds. None are opened, converted or inspected on the way through.
External references break when folders flatten
A DWG with xrefs, or a Revit model with linked files, depends on relative paths. Send the folder and the paths survive, which is the difference between a set that opens and one that asks for missing files.
Consultants will not make an account
Structural engineers, quantity surveyors and site managers are not going to sign up to receive a drawing. They open a browser and download.
Site teams open things on phones
A drawing set is often first opened on a phone in a portacabin. A browser download works there; a client portal with a sign-in usually does not.
Issue sheets belong with the drawings
The transmittal that says what changed is part of the issue. Sending it inside the same folder keeps the record together rather than in a separate email.

An attachment becomes a copy in every inbox it lands in, and copies do not get superseded. A link keeps one set, so there is no argument about which drawings were current.

Yes. The limit is the size of the transfer, not the format. Free covers 5GB and Plus goes to 300GB.
Will xrefs and linked models still resolve?
They resolve if the folder structure is preserved, which is why we recommend sending the folder rather than a selection of files.
Can I password protect a tender issue?
Yes, on the transfer, with an expiry date alongside it.
Can I restrict a tender issue to named bidders?
Yes. Restricted access requires each recipient to verify an invited address before the files open.
Do you support very large federated models?
Yes. Plus covers up to 300GB per transfer, which comfortably holds a federated model with its linked files.
Is there a record of who downloaded what?
Download feedback shows the transfer was collected, which is useful evidence when an issue date is disputed.
